Portaphile 627X Bare Aluminum

I am  still working on finishing enough faceplates to send out to my annodizer to annodize to black.  If you prefer bare aluminum, let me know and I can get an amplifier out to you sooner.  Every front faceplate takes three hours to mill and each back takes one hour.  I hope to have the pending order faceplates completed by this weekend so I can ship out on Monday to the annodizer.  Turn around time should be pretty quick after that, I hope.  Here are a few pics of the bare aluminum  version.  The final knob is still undecided.

Congratulations, Cesar! The 627X is visually fantastic!
About the annodize finish, I have a question: does it make some technical difference? Cause I think the bare aluminum is the one I’d like to take…

I prefer the bare aluminum aesthetically but but also wonder like the comment above – does the annodize finish make any type of technical difference?

No difference, the annodize is simply “dyeing” the aluminum black so it makes no technical difference. It’s simply a cosmetic difference between a bare aluminum and an anodized black version. One is natural aluminum color and the other is black. I should have the black version by the end of the week so I should be shipping soon. I will post pics of the black version as soon as they arrive.
